Now after the Sabbath, as the first day of the week began to dawn, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb.

And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled back the stone from the door and sat on it.

His countenance was like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow.

And the guards shook for fear of him and became like dead men.

But the angel answered and said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified.

He is not here; for HE IS RISEN, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead, and indeed He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him. Behold, I have told you.”

So, they went out quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy and ran to bring His disciples word.

Matthew 28:1-8  NKJ Bible

Thank you, Lord Jesus, for defeating death. Because You live, I am filled with hope and know that one day I will spend eternity with You. Lord, let my life be an example of Your love and mercy, so that others may come to know You as Saviour and Lord. I love you Jesus. Amen!

Be Blessed!

Very early on Sunday morning, just at sunrise, they went to the tomb. On the way they were asking each other, "Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance to the tomb?"

But as they arrived, they looked up and saw that the stone, which was very large, had already been rolled aside.

When they entered the tomb, they saw a young man clothed in a white robe sitting on the right side. The women were shocked, but the angel said, "Don't be alarmed. You are looking for Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. HE isn't here! HE is risen from the dead! Look, this is where they laid His body."

Mark 16:2-6 NLT Bible

We serve a risen Saviour! When the women entered the tomb, it was empty. As prophesied, Jesus rose on the third day, triumphant over death. This is the Saviour we serve. He is not dead, but alive, and if we let Him, He will live forever in our hearts.

Thank you Lord for being my Saviour. You defeated death for me and now You intercede daily on my behalf. Because You live, Lord, I can face tomorrow. I love you, Jesus. Amen!

Be Blessed!

And as they went, Jesus met them and greeted them. And they ran to Him, grasped His feet, and worshiped Him.

Matthew 28:9 NLT

Lord Jesus, You are worthy of all my praise! Just as Your disciples did, give me that desire to run to You, to worship You and to honour You for the sacrifice You made for me on the Cross. I love you Jesus. Amen!

SUNDAY INSPIRATION and PRAYER

April 17, 2022.

Then the angel spoke to the women, "Don't be afraid!" He said, "I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He isn't here! HE IS RISEN from the dead, just as He said would happen."

Matthew 28:5-6

NLT Bible

Today, as we celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus, our hearts are filled with love and joy that He is risen, just as He said. For many, this is simply a day that's all about Easter eggs and bunnies. For others, it may be one for a mandatory church visit, but for the child of God, it's a day to rejoice in the knowledge that Jesus lives, in our hearts, souls and minds. Because He lives, we have the hope and assurance of eternal life with Him.

It's an awesome thought to know that Jesus sits at the right hand of His Father and is continually interceding for us. We must do our part and live in a manner that's pleasing and acceptable to Him. Jesus lives and we need to let others know, not only by what we say, but by everything we do. On this glorious day, we are so thankful that Christ arose!

Thank you Lord Jesus for defeating death. Because You live, I am filled with hope and assurance that one day I will spend eternity with You. I love you Jesus. Amen!

 SATURDAY SCRIPTURE READING

April 16, 2022.

John 20:1-10 NLT

The Resurrection

1. Early on Sunday morning, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb and found that the stone had been rolled away from the entrance.

2. She ran and found Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one whom Jesus loved. She said, “They have taken the Lord’s body out of the tomb, and we don’t know where they have put Him!”

3. Peter and the other disciple started out for the tomb.

4. They were both running, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first.

5. He stooped and looked in and saw the linen wrappings lying there, but he didn’t go in.

6. Then Simon Peter arrived and went inside. He also noticed the linen wrappings lying there,

7. While the cloth that had covered Jesus’ head was folded up and lying apart from the other wrappings.

8. Then the disciple who had reached the tomb first also went in, and he saw and believed—

9. For until then they still hadn’t understood the Scriptures that said Jesus must rise from the dead.

10. Then they went home.
