April 23, 2022.

Isaiah 55:10-13 NLT

10. “The rain and snow come down from the heavens

and stay on the ground to water the earth.

They cause the grain to grow,

producing seed for the farmer

and bread for the hungry.

11. It is the same with My word.

I send it out, and it always produces fruit.

It will accomplish all I want it to,

and it will prosper everywhere I send it.

12. You will live in joy and peace.

The mountains and hills will burst into song,

and the trees of the field will clap their hands!

13. Where once there were thorns, cypress trees will grow.

Where nettles grew, myrtles will sprout up.

These events will bring great honor to the LORD’s name;

they will be an everlasting sign of His power and love.”

SUNDAY INSPIRATION and PRAYER

April 17, 2022.

Then the angel spoke to the women, "Don't be afraid!" He said, "I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He isn't here! HE IS RISEN from the dead, just as He said would happen."

Matthew 28:5-6

NLT Bible

Today, as we celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus, our hearts are filled with love and joy that He is risen, just as He said. For many, this is simply a day that's all about Easter eggs and bunnies. For others, it may be one for a mandatory church visit, but for the child of God, it's a day to rejoice in the knowledge that Jesus lives, in our hearts, souls and minds. Because He lives, we have the hope and assurance of eternal life with Him.

It's an awesome thought to know that Jesus sits at the right hand of His Father and is continually interceding for us. We must do our part and live in a manner that's pleasing and acceptable to Him. Jesus lives and we need to let others know, not only by what we say, but by everything we do. On this glorious day, we are so thankful that Christ arose!

Thank you Lord Jesus for defeating death. Because You live, I am filled with hope and assurance that one day I will spend eternity with You. I love you Jesus. Amen!

Be Blessed!

 SATURDAY SCRIPTURE READING

April 16, 2022.

John 20:1-10 NLT

The Resurrection

1. Early on Sunday morning, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb and found that the stone had been rolled away from the entrance.

2. She ran and found Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one whom Jesus loved. She said, “They have taken the Lord’s body out of the tomb, and we don’t know where they have put Him!”

3. Peter and the other disciple started out for the tomb.

4. They were both running, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first.

5. He stooped and looked in and saw the linen wrappings lying there, but he didn’t go in.

6. Then Simon Peter arrived and went inside. He also noticed the linen wrappings lying there,

7. While the cloth that had covered Jesus’ head was folded up and lying apart from the other wrappings.

8. Then the disciple who had reached the tomb first also went in, and he saw and believed—

9. For until then they still hadn’t understood the Scriptures that said Jesus must rise from the dead.

10. Then they went home.

SUNDAY INSPIRATION and PRAYER

April 10, 2022.

Jesus was in the centre of the procession and the people all around Him were shouting, "Praise God for the Son of David! Blessings on the One who comes in the Name of The Lord!"

Matthew 21:9

NLT Bible

Today, believers around the world celebrate Palm Sunday. On that day, our Saviour rode into Jerusalem on a donkey, while crowds paved the road with palm branches and sang praises to Him. Sadly, in just a week, many of them would be part of the crowd that would cry out for Him to be crucified. This day also signals the start of Holy Week leading up to the Crucifixion and Resurrection of Jesus. It's a time when we reflect on the agony and suffering that Jesus willingly endured for us.

Just as there were so many back then who sang praises to Jesus, there are countless people today who celebrate this day simply going through the motions without fully understanding the magnitude of what He did for us. Jesus suffered and endured unimaginable agony because of His love for us. Today, we need to pause and internalize all that He did for us, for it's because of Him, our sins are forgiven and we have the promise of eternal life.

Thank you Lord for sending Your Son. I praise and bless Your holy Name. Today I remember all that You did for me and my heart is filled with praise and gratitude. I love you, Jesus. Amen!

Be Blessed!
