Psalm 18: 20-24 NIV

20. The Lord has dealt with me according to my righteousness;

According to the cleanness of my hands He has rewarded me.

21. For I have kept the ways of the Lord;

I am not guilty of turning from my God.

22. All His laws are before me;

I have not turned away from His decrees.

23. I have been blameless before Him

And have kept myself from sin.

24. The Lord has rewarded me according to my righteousness,

According to the cleanness of my hands in His sight.

All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.

2 Corinthians 1:3-4 NLT

Jesus, I give You all honour and praise due Your Name! Help me Lord to be sensitive to those around me and show empathy at all times. I love you Jesus. Amen!

But The Lord said to her, "My dear Martha, you are worried and upset over all these details. There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her."

Luke 10:41-42 NLT Bible

Many of us have a 'Martha mentality' and can identify with her. We are the ones who are caught up in a hectic lifestyle, being busy all the time. We run around organizing, directing, serving and doing good things for everyone, but sadly enough, we sometimes miss out on the most important thing.…......spending time with God. This is exactly what happened when Jesus visited Martha and her sister, Mary. Martha was preoccupied and distracted with serving and taking care of everything, while Mary was simply content to sit and fellowship with Jesus.

Some of us who identify with Martha try to justify being busy because we rationalize that we're serving others, doing what needs to be done and it's all for God. However, there must be balance. We cannot allow busyness to keep us from spending time with God. This is what He desires most of all and it's what we need to grow in our walk with Him. Intimacy with Jesus has to be our ultimate priority and we need to find the balance between being constantly busy like Martha or simply being content to spend time with Him like Mary. Ultimately, we must recognize that time spent with God restores, renews and refreshes us and gives us the strength and energy to effectively serve Him.

Thank you Lord for Your faithfulness. May I always put you first in my life. Let me not get caught up in doing things and being so busy that I neglect spending time in fellowship and communion with You. Help me to find the balance that I need in my life. I love you, Jesus. Amen!

Be Blessed!

Ephesians 5: 11-20 NIV

11. Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.

12. It is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret.

13. But everything exposed by the light becomes visible—and everything that is illuminated becomes a light.

14. This is why it is said:

“Wake up, sleeper,

Rise from the dead,

And Christ will shine on you.”

15. Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise,

16. Making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.

17. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.

18. Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit,

19. Speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord,

20. Always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

For everything that is hidden will eventually be brought into the open, and every secret will be brought to light.

Mark 4:22 NLT Bible

Who are we when no one is watching, when we're far away from scrutiny of any kind? As children of God, this is a thought provoking question, one that warrants some soul searching. There are many people who give the appearance of living good, holy and righteous lives at work, at church and in the company of their friends, but life takes a different and ugly twist when they are at home with their loved ones. Suddenly, a different person emerges, one that may be cold, harsh, unkind, domineering, disrespectful and abusive. Others may have secret relationships, indulge in pornography or lewd jokes and think that no one knows about their behaviour. However, God sees everything and eventually every secret will be brought to light and when this happens, people are hurt and lives are destroyed.

We need to determine if our testimony as believers would be tarnished by our words and actions when we are alone and no one is seeing us. If we are guilty of this, then we need to repent and purpose in our hearts to live authentic Christian lives all the time, obeying God's laws and precepts. Our mindset must be that Jesus sees everything we do and our lives need to be pure, good and holy. We are flawed and may fail at times, but spending time with God, through prayer and reading His Word is the key to changing our behaviour.

Thank you Lord for watching over me. You see everything I do and there is nothing that I can hide from you. Lord, I pray that my words and actions will be pleasing to you at all times, wherever I am and in any circumstance. I love you, Jesus. Amen!

Be Blessed!

Psalm 15:1-5 NLT

1. Who may worship in your sanctuary, LORD?

Who may enter your presence on Your holy hill?

2. Those who lead blameless lives and do what is right,

speaking the truth from sincere hearts.

3. Those who refuse to gossip

or harm their neighbors

or speak evil of their friends.

4. Those who despise flagrant sinners,

and honor the faithful followers of the LORD,

and keep their promises even when it hurts.

5. Those who lend money without charging interest,

and who cannot be bribed to lie about the innocent.

Such people will stand firm forever.
