The dictionary defines integrity as the adherence to moral and ethical principles. For followers of God and for fathers in particular, these principles are found in His Word. The greatest influence fathers can have on their children and future generations is to live righteously and this can be attained by obeying and adhering to His Word. Fathers need to realize that their children are quietly watching and learning from them and it's their duty to not pass on unrighteous behaviour to them.

What does it mean to live with integrity? Firstly, it means to fear and obey God and to keep His commandments. Godly living must be at the core of everything that is done. Fathers are to be honest, faithful, kind, caring, trustworthy, unselfish, gentle and the list of pleasing qualities to God goes on and on. Children everywhere need to see fathers loving and respecting their mothers. Fathers need to be authentic.........their actions must line up with their words. They are to worship and honour God, read His Word, pray with their children and above all, love them unconditionally. Fathers need to be leaders and 'set the tone' in the home. They need to be godly examples and this is the legacy that should be passed on to their children, who will be blessed because their fathers lived with integrity.

Thank you Lord for fathers everywhere. I pray that you will bless and keep them. Lord, that they would walk with integrity and be godly examples. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
