Bible Verse for June 14th.

You have charged us to keep Your commandments carefully. Oh, that my actions would consistently reflect Your decrees!

Psalm 119:4-5

God has commanded us to obey His Word and to keep His commandments carefully and diligently. If we want to be genuine followers of Him, it's our duty to be obedient. It's not enough to read His Word. We have to let it be evident in all our actions........the things we do and say, how we treat those around us, the love, compassion, empathy and kindness we exude. In other words, it must encompass our entire life.

In reading His Word, we need to be continually asking the Holy Spirit to open our minds to understand what we are reading and allow it to impact and affect our lives. We cannot choose what we want to obey. Our entire lifestyle must embody His precepts. Those around us should never have to question our faith and devotion to God. Basically, we need to be obedient to His Word.

Thank you Lord for Your Word. You have instructed us to obey it and I pray that all my actions will be a true reflection of Your decrees. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
