Be still and know that I am God!

This verse challenges us to be still before Almighty God. We are living in an age when thoughts are constantly swirling around in our minds and we're caught up in a frenzied flurry of activity as we try to navigate the difficult waters in which we find ourselves. Many people are worried about their jobs, paying their bills, health, children and the future as a whole.
Now is the time to silence these thoughts, to take a step back from the constant activity and be still before God. We need to allow Him to speak to us, to let His peace flood our minds and recognize that He is God. He alone is the One who can preserve, protect and provide for us. It is during this time of stillness that we can sense His Presence in a tangible way and get answers to the problems besetting us.
Thank you Lord for Your abiding Presence. I wait quietly before You in total surrender. Speak to me Lord and draw me close to You. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
