But very early on Sunday morning the women went to the tomb, taking the spices they had prepared. They found that the stone had been rolled away from the entrance. So they went in, but they didn't find the body of the Lord Jesus. As they stood there puzzled, two men suddenly appeared to them, clothed in dazzling robes.
The women were terrified and bowed with their faces to the ground. Then the men asked, "Why are you looking among the dead for someone who is alive? HE isn't here! HE is risen from the dead!"
Luke 24:1-6
NLT Bible
As we celebrate this glorious Easter Sunday, our hearts are filled with praise and thanksgiving because we know that we serve a risen Saviour. He died for our sins, rose again and sits at the right hand of the Father, constantly interceding for us.
It's also a difficult day as the world deals with this pandemic and people are afraid of what the future holds. However, as children of God, we have to cling to Him and have hope that brighter days are ahead. God sits on the throne and He is in control. He is the same yesterday, today and forever!
Thank you Lord for defeating death. Because You live I am filled with the assurance and hope that I will spend eternity with you. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
Be Blessed!
