There are so many things that rob us of our peace. We spend many hours agonizing over our finances, our children's safety, our health, our relationships and a host of other things. We then wind up feeling stressed, worried and devoid of peace. However, real peace is not the absence of valid concerns in our lives, but the ability to have it in the midst of worrisome events.

God's Word tells us that we can be assured of peace if we trust in Him and centre our thoughts on Him. This means that regardless of what life throws at us, peace will reign in our hearts, but it can only happen when our minds are fixed on God. When turmoil resonates within us, we need to spend time in prayer and in His Word. As we do, His peace floods our souls.

Thank you Lord for Your peace. I feel overwhelmed by what is happening in my life, but I trust in You and focus my thoughts on You alone. Fill me with Your peace. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
