Bible Verse for September 15th.

But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you!

Matthew 5:44

NLT Bible

It's easy to love people who genuinely care and love us unconditionally, but not everyone will be like that. Throughout our life, there will be those who intentionally hurt and mistreat us. This could happen with people at work, at church and basically in some of our relationships, even with those we regard as friends.

In this verse, Jesus is telling us that we are to love our enemies and to pray for them. If we pause for a moment and be honest with ourselves, we would realize that many of us find this extremely difficult and as a result we don't obey His command. However, as believers we are called upon to heed and follow this. When we do, freedom from hurt, anger and resentment towards those who have wronged us will fade.

Thank you Lord for loving me. Help me to love those who have hurt and mistreated me. I pray that you will bless them. I love you, Jesus. Amen!

Be Blessed!

Lydia
