Everything we have comes from God. Some people tend to believe that they've worked hard for what they have, but ultimately, the strength and skill needed to work is a gift from God. We are to honour Him with the best of what He has so graciously given to us. Sometimes, we are guilty of taking care of all our needs and then giving what's left over to God.
We need a mind shift. God must come first in our giving and we should give what rightfully belongs to Him. He has promised that when we do this, He will bless us in ways we never imagined. Giving to God is an act of obedience and it shows our faith and trust in Him. Somehow, when we honour God with what we have, we are never in need. God deserves the best from each one of us.
Thank you Lord for all You've given to me. I pray that I will always honour you with my giving. Help me to be a willing and cheerful giver. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
