But now is the time to get rid of anger, rage, malicious behaviour, slander and dirty language.

Colossians 3:8

We cannot profess our love and devotion to God and then engage in inappropriate behaviour. If we do, it discredits our testimony as believers. Everything we say and do should reflect Christ. As such, we cannot allow rage, anger, mean-spirited behaviour, slander and foul language to be part of our lives.

We're human and flawed and these things will rise up within us from time to time. People will say and do things to irritate and annoy us. They will 'push our buttons' and rub us the wrong way, but we cannot let that old and sinful behaviour rule our actions. We must live mindfully and pay close attention to our behaviour. The time is now to get rid of wrong behaviour and clothe ourselves with love, goodness and righteousness.

Thank you Lord for Your righteousness. Change my heart and fill me with Your love and goodness. Let everything I say and do reflect you. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
