Many believers are investing quality time in looking at things that are vile and vulgar. They delude themselves into thinking that there's nothing wrong in doing that, but they are sadly mistaken. In fact, as they continue to gaze at lewdness and immorality, they are slowly heading down a slippery slope that can hinder and even destroy their relationship with God.

We must make every effort to look at things that bring honour to God and are uplifting, edifying and encouraging. This means we must censor the books we read, the shows we watch and the internet sites we visit. If our desire is to have a healthy relationship with God, we cannot intentionally look at things that dishonour Him. It's critical that we refrain from anything that feeds our fleshly desires and bad habits. We can be victorious as we draw closer to God.

Thank you Lord for the precious gift of sight. Help me to focus on things that are uplifting and edifying. May I honour you in everything I look at. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
