The Lord is a friend to those who fear Him. He teaches them His covenant.

True friends are people we love, trust and respect. We value their opinions and they are the ones we gravitate towards in crises. As believers, we have a friend in God and it's a friendship that merits fear and respect. We cannot call ourselves followers of God and be dismissive of Him, living as we please.
We must have a reverential fear of Him that causes us to honour, respect and obey Him. We don't blame Him when things go amiss in our lives and we never use His Name in vain. Our desire is to honour and glorify Him each day, walking in accordance to His precepts. God sees our hearts and our sincerity and rewards us by teaching us His truths.
Thank you Lord for being my friend. My desire is to love, honour and respect you all the days of my life. Teach me Your ways and show me the path I should take. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
