About 5,000 men were fed that day, in addition to all the women and children!

Most of us are familiar with the miracle of Jesus feeding over five thousand people with five loaves and two fish. We may be tempted to think of this as just another example of the awesome power of God, and it is, but it showed simplistic trust and faith in Jesus from a little boy who willingly gave up his lunch. How amazed he must have been at the outcome when everyone, including himself, were fed and leftovers were also collected.
We need to learn from this and trust God with the little we have, whether it's our time or resources. Sometimes, we tend to hold on to things because we think it's just enough for us, but if we willingly relinquish it to God, He will multiply it in ways we never imagined and will have extra to spare. God did it when he fed thousands and He will do the same for us.
Thank you Lord for being a miracle working God. Today, I give you all that I have. You know my needs and I trust You to meet them. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
