Bible Verse for August 5th.

One day Jesus told his disciples a story to show that they should always pray and never give up.

Luke 18:1

Jesus told his disciples a parable to drive home the important truth about always praying and never giving up. He spoke of a woman who repeatedly went to a judge asking for justice in a dispute with an enemy. The judge ignored her for awhile but eventually relented because of the woman's persistence.

Similarly, we are to be persistent in prayer and never give up. It may seem that our prayers aren't being answered and our situations remain unchanged. We feel helpless and overwhelmed. Rest assured, God is listening and we are to keep on praying regardless of what we are seeing. When we least expect it, the answer will come.

Thank you Lord for hearing my prayer. May I be faithful and persistent in prayer and never give up. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
