Bible Verse for August 12th.

For when He spoke, the world began! It appeared at His command.

Psalm 33:9

 When God created the world, everything was dark, but He simply spoke and light filled the earth. He speaks and things happen. His Word is powerful, transformative and life changing. God speaks and healing and deliverance take place, relationships are restored and our circumstances change. We may be facing some things that seem overwhelming and insurmountable, but just one word from God can bring about the desired outcome. 

God still speaks today, but we must be attuned to His voice as He can speak to us in many ways. It can be audibly or inaudibly, through godly men and women and often through His Word. When we heed His voice, great things can happen. When a storm raged and His disciples were afraid, God spoke to the wind and waves and the storm ceased. Impossibilities become possibilities when God speaks.

Thank you Lord for Your Word. I know that when You speak, things happen and lives are changed. Help me to be still so that I can hear you speak. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
