Every day our prayer should be that God would purify and cleanse us and give us a heart that's pure and holy. If we rely on our own strength, it's very easy to allow negative and impure thoughts and feelings to flood our minds. We continually need to ask God to rid us of these feelings and fill us instead with His love, mercy and grace.
When He does this, petty things don't matter anymore. Anger, resentment, hurt, rage, jealousy and so much more fade as His love envelops us. God also renews that loyal and steadfast spirit within us and we focus instead on pleasing Him and living to serve and honour Him. However, it begins with coming before Him continually with humble and contrite hearts.
Thank you Lord for cleansing me. Cleanse and purify me and help me to live a pure and holy life. I cannot do it on my own. I need Your strength and power. I love you, Jesus. Amen,
