There's so much we can gain from silence. Oftentimes we're silent, but we allow everything to flood our minds. We focus on our children, spouse and at this time of the year, our endless list of things to do and God literally takes a back seat. We need to be quiet, block out all the distractions of the world and centre our thoughts on the awesome power and presence of Almighty God.
As we're silent, we can bask in His Presence, surrender our cares to Him and allow His peace to fill our minds. It's here we recognize that regardless of what's going on in our lives, He is in control. We are renewed and restored and get the strength to face the challenges that ultimately await us. We need to get in the habit of being still before God.
Thank you Lord for being an awesome God. As I'm silent before you, I'm renewed and restored. I know that I can be victorious because of you. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
