It seems we live in an age where so many things are vying for our attention and we wind up going from one activity to the next. Before we know it, the day is over and we go to bed tired and exhausted. We may have tackled most of the things on our list, but neglected the most important one. We've failed to spend time alone with God.

Time spent in personal prayer is critical to our relationship with God as this is when He speaks to us. In God's Presence we are recharged, rejuvenated, encouraged, strengthened and equipped to successfully cope with the challenges of life. Throughout His ministry on earth, Jesus recognized the necessity of prayer and would often slip away to be alone with His Father. We also need to make intimacy with God a priority. As we set aside all distractions and seclude ourselves with God, slowly but surely, it soon becomes something we can't live without.

Thank you Lord for Your Presence. My soul hungers for you. In Your Presence, I am renewed and filled with courage and strength to live with purpose and passion. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
