He calmed the storm to a whisper and stilled the waves. What a blessing was that stillness as He brought them safely into harbour!

Storms can hit suddenly, bringing heavy rains, crashing waves, gusty winds, thunder and lightening destroying everything in its path and then it's over. Stillness prevails, but the damage has been done. Similarly, we also face storms in our lives and they hit us when we least expect it. Sickness, job loss, broken relationships, despondency and despair may strike suddenly and we feel as if we're drowning.
We can allow the raging winds and waves to toss us to and fro or we can choose to cling to God. Just a whisper from Him can calm the turmoil we're experiencing. God can quiet our minds, fill us with peace and hope and lead us safely to a place of healing, deliverance and restoration. As His children, we are not exempt from storms and struggles, but we are never alone. God is always with us and if we hold on to Him, He will protect and preserve us.
Thank you Lord for calming the storms in my life. Because of you, I will not crumble or sink under the waves of despair and hopelessness. I know You will lead me safely to harbour. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
