When people delight in us, they love to be around us and look forward to being in our company whenever possible. They take pleasure in our accomplishments and always want the best for us. In this verse, we learn that God also delights in us. We are His children and His love for us is everlasting and undying. Some people may view us as failures and misfits, but to God we are simply His dearly beloved children.
God takes pleasure in every success and triumph. He is delighted when we acknowledge Him as Lord, when we praise and worship Him and live holy and pleasing lives. God is pleased when we love Him, stay true to our beliefs and when we act with humility and treat others with kindness and empathy. We may 'mess up' at times and feel unworthy of His love, but God looks beyond our failures, knowing that our spiritual growth is ongoing and He delights in us anyway.
Thank you Lord for delighting in me. I don't deserve Your love, but You love me anyway. Thank you for finding pleasure in the things I do. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
