Bible Verse for April 29th.

Their loyalty is divided between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do.

James 1:8
NLT Bible

God desires our undivided loyalty. We cannot be true and loyal to God and be the same way with the world. If we try to juggle both, we will certainly fail in our walk with Him. Our intentions to serve God may be good and noble, but if we're not walking closely with Him through daily fellowship and time in His Word, we will be swayed by the things of the world.

Sadly, this can happen over time. Our dependency on God shifts and we seek out worldly solutions to our difficulties. We are no longer firm and steadfast in our devotion to God, but confused, unstable and insecure. We begin to compromise our values and core beliefs. Regardless of the outcome, we need to be loyal and devoted to God. He will reward us for our faithfulness.

Thank you Lord for Your faithfulness. My desire is to be true and loyal to you. I pray that I will never be swayed by the things of this world. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
