As believers, self examination is critical to our walk with God as it shows us if our faith is genuine or if we're veering off course. It's easy to become complacent and be lulled into believing that we are genuinely serving God, so we must search ourselves to see if our hearts are right and our actions pure and honourable, according to the Word of God.

We need to determine if our lights are shining brightly for God and if we reflect Him in everything we do. We must identify our flaws and weaknesses and also see if we're allowing the things of the world to infiltrate our lives and sway us to wrongdoing. If they are, we need to get our hearts right with God and get back on track to serving Him faithfully.

Thank you Lord for being my Heavenly Father. I pray that I will continually examine myself to make sure that my faith is genuine. Help me to not become complacent and allow worldly things to hinder my walk with you, I love you, Jesus. Amen!
