Bible Verse for April 19th.

"Yes, I know," Boaz replied. "But I also know about everything you have done for your mother-in-law since the death of your husband."

Ruth 2:11
NLT Bible

Ruth's kindness to her mother-in-law preceded her. She was widowed with no children of her own and life was hard, yet she was kind, caring and compassionate in spite of it all. She refused to leave Naomi alone and followed her to her homeland where Ruth gathered grain in the field of Boaz, a wealthy landowner. He knew everything about her and all the good she had done for her mother-in-law and she was rewarded immensely for her kindness.

Kindness produces a ripple effect. Ruth was kind to Naomi and then Boaz was kind to Ruth and blessings overflowed for all. As children of God, kindness should be a way of life for us and we should use every opportunity to care for others. It may encroach on our time and resources, but it's rewarding and satisfying to know that we've helped someone and lightened their load.

Thank you Lord for caring for me. Help me to use every opportunity to be kind to those around me. Let my motives be pure and unselfish. I love you, Jesus. Amen!

Be Blessed!
Lydia
