Bible Verse for June 27th.

Yet how quickly they forgot what He (God) had done! They wouldn't wait for His counsel!

Psalm 106:13
NLT Bible

We are often guilty of forgetting what God has done for us. A problem surfaces and we panic and wonder how we will get through it. This is what the Israelites did. God delivered them from oppression in Egypt, parted the Red Sea for them to escape the Egyptian army, fed them, but yet when they encountered new challenges, they grumbled, complained and doubted God, forgetting all the things He had previously done for them.

When we face trials, we need to remember all that God has done for us in the past. The times when He's helped us through financial pressures, sickness, depression, comforted us in times of grief, protected and provided for us. However, we forget that if He did it in the past, He can and will do it again. When we focus on the goodness and faithfulness of God, we view things in perspective. We don't rely on our own judgement, but seek God's counsel, because He will show us the path we should take.

Thank you Lord for Your goodness and faithfulness. Forgive me for the times I've doubted and forgotten the things You've done for me. I know that what You did in the past, You will do again. I love you, Jesus. Amen!

Be Blessed!
Lydia
