When we accept Jesus as our Saviour, we enter into a relationship with Him. He now lives in us and this is reflected in the way we think, talk and act. Jesus Christ is now the centre of our lives. Our old, fleshly desires have been put to death and with His help and strength, we now live for Him. A transformation takes place within us, but it requires a daily surrender of our weaknesses and a determination to please and honour God.
Having Christ live in us does not entail holding on to ritualistic and sometimes, meaningless traditions, but rather, it's letting Him control our thoughts, words and actions. We now do things because of our deep love for Him and all He's done for us. Our motivation is knowing that Jesus is our Lord and living exclusively for Him is all that matters.
Thank you Lord for dying for my sins. You are the centre of my life, my reason for living and I surrender my weaknesses and fleshly desires to you. Lord, let my life reflect you. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
