So you, too, keep watch! For you don't know what day your Lord is coming.

People everywhere should be cognizant of the fact that Jesus is coming soon and we need to be ready. We don't know the time of His coming, but the signs indicate that it's imminent and we must be on guard. As we watch and wait, we are to be good ambassadors, spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ to those who are lost. Time is fleeting and we cannot miss any opportunity to tell someone that Jesus saves.
We must also live exemplary lives, obeying and honouring God in all we do. We cannot 'fall asleep' and be lulled into thinking that there's time. God must be at the very core of everything we say and do. As adults, we also need to be interceding for our young people, praying that they will have courage and strength to live for Jesus regardless of the temptations around them. As believers, we should live with expectancy, always being mindful that our Lord can come at any moment and we must be ready.
Thank you Lord that You're coming soon. Help me to be alert and watchful because You can come at any given moment and I want to be ready. Let me use my time wisely, obeying and serving you. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
