Bible Verse for June 22nd.

Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

1John 4:11

As dear children of God, we are loved by Him. His love for us is everlasting and unconditional. God loved us so much, that He sent His only Son into the world to die for our sins and because of His great love for us, we need to love each other. It's an overwhelming feeling to just imagine the magnitude of God's love for us. However, it leads to a straightforward command........God loves us and we are to love others. It's not an option.

There's no denying that some people are difficult to love. They can be rude, mean, unpleasant and quite hurtful at times. What are we to do? Love them anyway. If we think about it, we ourselves are not always easy to love, but God loves us and we expect our loved ones to love us also. The message is clear. We cannot love God and not love others. Each day, with God's help, we need to purpose to love people as He loves us.

Thank you Lord for loving me with all my flaws and imperfections. Help me to love others as You love me. Let my love for people be reflected in tangible and meaningful ways, but above all, let everything I do bring honour and glory to Your Holy Name. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
