Bible Verse for June 17th.

The Lord kept His word and did for Sarah exactly what He had promised.

Genesis 21:1

God had promised Abraham that his wife Sarah would give him a son and He kept His word. Sarah became pregnant and at ninety years old, gave birth to Isaac. God is true to His word. Whatever He has promised will come to pass. Many times we grow weary and tired and doubts surface because what God promised us is not happening.

We need to trust, believe and obey God. His timing is perfect and is not the same as ours. Everything He promised us will happen exactly when and how it should. In the same way that God is true to His word, we also need to do the same, being trustworthy and honourable and keeping promises that we've made to others. In an age where so many are not true to their word, how wonderful it is to know that we serve a faithful God who keeps His promises.

Thank you Lord for Your faithfulness. I know that You are true to Your word and that whatever You've promised me will come to pass. Help me to be patient and to never doubt. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
