Bible Verse for June 18th.

.......The Lord was with him (Joseph) and caused everything he did to succeed.

Genesis 39:23

Success was a long time coming for Joseph, but he never complained or grumbled. Joseph was sold into slavery by his jealous brothers, taken to Egypt, imprisoned, but found favour with Pharaoh and was promoted. He kept on obeying God, working diligently and God caused everything he did to prosper and succeed. There was famine in the land and Joseph was responsible for the distribution of food. His brothers came to Egypt in search of food and Joseph ended up providing for them.

He could have ignored them, been spiteful, but he loved them and was happy to help. Joseph faced many obstacles, bit in spite of them, he prospered. He knew that God was with him and he made the best use of every opportunity that came his way. He could not have known the end result, but he worked diligently and God blessed him in numerous ways. In a foreign land, he became a wealthy and respected man. God is always with us, leading and guiding and if we follow and adhere to His ways as Joseph did, we too can be successful in life.

Thank you Lord for Your guidance and direction. I know that You are always with me and if I follow and obey Your leading, I will be successful. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
