As children of God, we need to remember that our lives are an open book to those around us, believers and non-believers alike. People may not be paying attention to the things we say, but they are certainly watching the things we do and some of our actions may cause them to draw away from God. The Word of God is our guide for living and there's no deviating from it.

When our focus is on pleasing and obeying God, we are always mindful of our behaviour and the impact it can have on others. Our actions will show love, kindness, respect, sensitivity to others, compassion, humility, mercy and grace. In fact, people will be drawn to God because of us. We need to have a sensitive spirit, to be aware of the weaknesses and peculiarities of those around us and to ensure that our actions never cause anyone to stumble and turn away from God.

Thank you Lord for Your Word. I pray that my life will draw people to you and not drive them away. Help me to be mindful of how my behaviour can impact those who are weak or those who don't know you. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
