Then He took the children in His arms and placed His hands on their heads and blessed them.
Mark 10:16
NLT Bible
Jesus knew how special children were and He used every opportunity to interact with them. He took them in His arms and blessed them. As parents and grandparents, we are entrusted with the responsibility to speak words of wisdom and blessings into the lives of our children. We need to bless them with health, success, long life, goodness, purity, joy, kindness, patience, courage, strength, confidence, wisdom, peace, grace and much more.
When we bless them, our words can be specific to each child. We can speak words of confidence to an insecure child, strength to one who's weak or courage to another who's afraid. Our words of blessings can empower our children and let them know that they are special, valued, precious and capable of reaching their God given potential in life. For those who have never done it, the time is now to begin. It's never too late. Our blessings impact their lives long after we're gone.
Thank you Lord for blessing me. Help me to bless my children and grandchildren with every good gift life has to offer. May my words empower and equip them and let them know that they are precious and valued. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
Be Blessed!
Lydia
