This verse affirms two critical truths. God has a divine purpose for each one of us and He will fulfill it. Sometimes it seems that we're just going through the motions day after day and nothing is happening. Each day seems to be a repetition of the previous day and we feel caught up in a vicious cycle. Many times however, we are the ones who get in the way of God's purpose coming to fruition as we allow our insecurities, fears, inadequacies and doubts to weigh us down.
Every discomfort we experience in life is an opportunity for us to grow and bring us closer to realizing His plan for us. We have a role to play in this. We must surrender our lives to God, seek His will and keep on trusting, believing and obeying Him. We need to reach beyond our four walls and invest in the lives of others who are in need. As we do, our focus shifts and slowly but surely, everything falls into place and God's purpose becomes a reality in our lives.
Thank you Lord for hearing my cry. I know You have a purpose for my life, but sometimes it seems out of my reach. I surrender my fears and insecurities to you and I know that Your purpose for me will be fulfilled. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
