Bible Verse for March 27th.

"All right, but let the one who has never sinned throw the first stone."

John 8:7
NLT Bible

A woman had committed adultery, and according to the laws of the land, she was to be stoned to death. In this verse however, Jesus is challenging the crowd, telling anyone who had never sinned to throw the first stone. Of course, no one could. We have all sinned, done things that are contrary to the Word of God and in His infinite mercy and compassion God forgave us. However, in the light of that, it seems ironic and somewhat hypocritical that we can condemn another person when they sin.

Instead of judging and condemning someone who has done wrong, we need to reach out with love and compassion. Sometimes, unless we walk in someone's shoes, we can never really know why they do the things they do, as circumstances or poor choices may have triggered their wrong behaviour. What we need to do is open their eyes to the life that's available to everyone who repents of their sins and asks Jesus into their lives. There's nothing to be gained from condemning and belittling someone because of their wrongdoing. We are not perfect and we mess up everyday, but a loving God continues to forgive us. Everyone else deserves the same.

Thank you Lord for Your forgiveness. I do things that are wrong and You continue to forgive me. Help me to never condemn others, but to reach out with love and compassion and let them know what a difference You will make in their lives. I love you, Jesus. Amen!

Be Blessed!
Lydia
