Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ.

Our world would be a wonderful place if we heeded the advice given in this verse. We don't have to seek out people to tell us how to love or bury our heads in self-help books. All that we need to do is look to God and follow His example. He is the epitome of love and during His time on earth, every word and action overflowed with love for others. Jesus was kind, compassionate, patient, humble and generous with everyone He met and He radiated peace and joy.

If we want to live a love filled life, we too must possess these qualities and they should be manifested in our interactions with everyone. We will treat people with respect and dignity and be kind, compassionate and caring. We will refrain from backbiting and do whatever we can to bring out the best in people and be happy when they succeed. We will willingly serve others and put their needs above our own. The only way for love to be evident in our lives is by keeping our eyes on Jesus and staying connected to Him, the Source of true love.

Thank you Lord for loving me. I want Your love to be evident in all I say and do. Help me to see others through eyes of love and compassion, to treat them with kindness and respect and to put their needs above my own. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
