Bible Verse for February 14th.

"So now I am giving you a new commandment. Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other."

John 13:34
NLT Bible

Millions of people everywhere are celebrating this special day by showing their loved ones how deeply they care. On this day, people are kinder, happier and more loving. This love should be visible every single day all through the year. God has commanded us to love each other, just as He loves us. It's not a request, but rather a command. However, at any given time, this proves to be difficult for so many of us.

It's easy to love some people. They are the ones who are pleasant, easygoing, kind, caring and giving, so we don't have a problem loving them. What's difficult is loving those who are grumpy, loud, rude, sullen and different. We cannot pick and choose those we should love as we are just called to love everyone. We don't have to agree with people to love them. We just love them freely and unconditionally, showing God's love in tangible ways, expecting nothing in return. Love is contagious and after awhile, even the grumpiest and most difficult people respond to it in a positive way. When we love God, we love each other.

Thank you Lord for Your unconditional love. Help me to love others as You love, without condemnation or judgement. Let me also show love in tangible ways and may Your love be reflected in all my actions. I love you, Jesus. Amen!

Be Blessed!
Lydia
