Bible Verse for February 13th.

For The Lord grants wisdom! From his mouth comes knowledge and understanding. He grants a treasure of common sense to the honest.

Proverbs 2:6-7

The Lord gives knowledge and wisdom to anyone who comes to Him for it. This is what Solomon desired above all else and God granted it to him. He became known as a wise man and many came to him for solutions to problems they were facing. Many people may think they are wise, but then their actions prove otherwise. Wisdom that comes from God is pure and right and along with it, God grants an abundant treasure of common sense. This gives us the ability to use our knowledge wisely and appropriately. Knowledge is the accumulation of facts and wisdom allows us to use these facts effectively. Common sense is the ability to know how and when to use both.

Many people lack common sense and it's evident in their behaviour. God wants to give us wisdom and understanding and all we need to do is ask. As we deepen our relationship with Him, He reveals so much to us and we get the ability to make wise decisions and achieve our God given potential.

Thank you Lord for Your wisdom. Help me to use the knowledge and wisdom You've given me in ways that would be pleasing to you. Let common sense prevail in all my actions. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
