Bible Verse for January 19th.

In His Grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well.

Romans 12:6

In this verse, the apostle Paul was speaking to the church and the part that each one played within the church. This is also pertinent and applicable to us today in every area of our lives. In His infinite wisdom, God has given each one of us a gift that's specific to us, to be used in our interactions with others and to complement the gift of the other person. If we have the gift of encouragement, then we need to comfort and give hope to the host of hurting people around us. if we have the gift of kindness, then we should use every opportunity to be generous and helpful. Some of us may be gifted in leadership, proficient in managing and delegating in any crisis, while others may love to teach and explain and clarify things to someone.

Situations occur all around us that afford us the opportunity to use our 'God given' gifts.....this gives us purpose in life.We should develop and use what God has given us and not try to be like other people. We must also value and appreciate the contribution that each person is making and encourage them to keep on being everything that God has made them to be. We need to make every effort to live together in peace and harmony, valuing and respecting what someone else is doing.

Thank You Lord for Your many blessings. Help me Lord to use this wonderful gift You have given me to edify and bless others. May I always do it in a cheerful and loving manner. My desire is to live for You and to be of service to others. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
