Bible Verse for December 27th.

I will exalt You, my God and King, and praise Your Name forever and ever. I will praise You every day; yes, I will praise You forever.

Psalm 145: 1-2

Our God is indeed great and worthy to be praised. So many times, our prayers focus on our needs and we forget to praise and thank God for who He is and all that He does for us. This psalm lists a number of things that we can praise God for. We can praise and thank Him because He is merciful, kind, compassionate, slow to anger and filled with love for us. He is a God who is faithful, always honouring His promises. God is close to us and has promised to never leave us nor forsake us. There are so many attributes of God that we can be thankful for. He alone fills the void in our lives, gives us hope for the future and the list goes on and on. We need to look within ourselves and also around us and realize how much God deserves our praise. In the days and weeks ahead, we should purpose to live in an attitude of praise and thankfulness to Almighty God.

Lord, I praise and worship You. I thank You because Your mercies are new every morning. Great is Your faithfulness. Thank You Lord for loving me just as I am. Thank You for Your protection, guidance and direction. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
