Bible Verse for December 28th.

Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me.

Psalm 51:10

As children of Almighty God, this verse should be the prayer of our hearts. All around us, we are bombarded by people and things that sometimes cause us to sin and displease God. Usually, it begins in our minds and the longer we think about it, we eventually end up giving in to that temptation and ultimately we disobey God. We need to constantly renew our hearts and minds so that we do not give in to things that we know are wrong.
We need to acknowledge when we have sinned, confess it to God and ask Him to cleanse and restore us. We have to come to God in our broken state and rededicate our lives, then purpose to live in obedience to Him and avoid repeating our past mistakes.

Thank You Lord for Your love and Your Holy Spirit. So many times, I fail, but I thank You that You are a God who forgives. Lord, I confess my sin and ask for Your forgiveness. Give me the strength and determination to live a life that's pleasing to You. I love You, Jesus. Amen!
