Come to me with your ears wide open. Listen, and you will find life.

Many people are vying for our attention, wanting to be heard. As followers of God, we have to be careful about who or what we are listening to. We need to listen to the voice of Almighty God. When we do, we find life, peace, joy, guidance and direction to live purpose filled and productive lives. God is always willing and ready to speak to us, but oftentimes, we are too wrapped up and involved in our own pursuits to listen.

To hear the voice of God, we must be in an ongoing relationship with Him. God speaks to us through His Word, then sometimes in an inaudible voice and then there are times when we actually hear Him. God can also speak to us through people, but we must have a discerning spirit in order to identify if these words are from Him. As we continue to spend time in God's presence, shutting out all distractions, He is able to impart words of knowledge, wisdom and direction to us, leaving us renewed, refreshed and ready to face the challenges that await us. All it takes is making ourselves available to hear from God.

Thank you, Lord for speaking to me. I'm available and I come to you with my ears wide open, waiting to hear from you. Help me to block out all distractions and to make fellowship with you my first priority. I know that I will find life, peace and guidance in Your words. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
