Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory He will reveal to us later.
Romans 8:18
NLT Bible
The day is fast approaching when believers in Jesus Christ will realize that every trial and suffering they endured was simply small and insignificant, yet worth it all. Our hope and comfort in suffering is that glorious day when we see Jesus face to face. Our time here on earth is just a journey to that wonderful day and not one of us is exempt from difficulties and trials during this time. They come to us when we least expect it, but what really matters is our behaviour in the midst of these circumstances. We can choose to focus on the problems or we can look to God for strength and courage to endure and be a good witness and example to others in the midst of it all.
Some of us have been at the bedside of loved ones during the last hours of their life and words cannot describe the joy that radiated from their faces as they slipped into eternity with Jesus. As believers, this is what awaits us and keeping hope alive and having the right attitude while suffering speaks volumes about our faith and belief in Almighty God. Suffering prepares us for glory and anything we go through in this life is nothing compared to that great day when we behold our Lord and Saviour.
Thank you Lord for suffering and dying for me. Give me courage and strength to endure suffering. I know that You are pruning and refining me to be a better example for you. I look forward to that glorious day when I see you face to face. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
Be Blessed!
