We all need guidance in life, but what's important is who we turn to for it. Many people look for guidance in the wrong places, turning to psychics, astrology, and friends. As followers of God, we can never get the guidance we need from these sources. We must look to God as He is the only One who can guide us along the right path and lead us to true fulfilment and victory. We first have to surrender and yield our lives to Him, letting Him guide every step we take.
Sometimes it's not a straight path as there are detours along the way, filled with difficulties and pain, but this is only God's way of pruning and refining us to become all that we can be. God guides us through His Word and through the godly counsel of others whom He allows to cross our paths. We need to follow His leading in everything we do, in big and small decisions alike. There is nothing we should attempt on our own, without first seeking God. When we fail to do this, things go amiss. Being open and willing to guidance from Almighty God gives us inner peace, contentment and joy. God's desire is to guide us forever and ever.
Thank you Lord for guiding me. I can do nothing without you and I surrender everything to you. Guide me as I travel along this path and show me every step I should take in order to fulfil my destiny. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
