Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith and your purity.

1 Timothy 4:12

As followers of God, we have the opportunity and also the responsibility to be examples to those around us in the things we say and do, in the love we show and in the purity of our hearts and minds. We need to pay attention to the things we say, speaking to people with kindness and compassion, refraining from gossip and using our words to uplift, encourage and edify. Our actions must also reflect Christ and we must strive to do the right thing wherever we are and in whatever situation we find ourselves. Honesty and integrity must always be present in our lives. Everything matters, like returning extra change accidentally given by a cashier, taking our shopping carts back to the cart return, not littering and obeying the rules of the road.

Love must be evident in our lives. We are to love and care for everyone, even loving those who hurt us or even dislike us. Our faith in God should be visible and seen through our devotion and service to Him. God also expects us to live a pure life, keeping our hearts and minds free from wrongdoing and refraining from all forms of sexual immorality. Our words and actions can impact and transform lives. We are called to be examples of God's love and grace and we can only do it as we continually look to Him for strength and guidance.

Thank you Lord for being the perfect example. My desire is to let my life be a reflection of you, in everything I say and do. Help me to do and say the right thing at all times and in any situation. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
