We need to avoid wrongdoing at all costs and this means staying away from people who can lure us into doing things that are displeasing to God and detrimental to our well being. Peer pressure has a tremendous pull for children and adults alike and many times we compromise our faith and belief in God because we want to be accepted, to fit in and not be ostracized. As followers of God, we cannot allow anyone to pressure or tempt us into wrongdoing.

This means taking a stand for God, being alert to the wiles of the enemy and resisting every ploy to get us off course. We cannot remain steadfast and firm if we keep trying to blend in with those who are doing things that are contrary to the Word of God. We have to cling tenaciously to God, intensify our fellowship with Him and immerse ourselves in His Word. This is the only way we will be able to resist those who want us to participate in things that we know to be wrong. Our desire should be to draw people to Jesus, not to have them pull us into their lifestyle. It takes courage and strength to walk away from undesirable friendships, but it is possible with help from Almighty God.

Thank you Lord for Your strength that enables me to stay on the right path. Help me to never deviate from what I know to be good, honest and pure and to never compromise my belief and faith in you, I love you, Jesus. Amen!
