Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up.

Our children are a blessing, precious gifts from God and as parents and grandparents, we have a responsibility to share His love and goodness with them. This is not something that should be taken lightly, because if we don't tell them, they will never know. We are not going to be around forever, so the onus is on us to pass down our core beliefs and values to our offspring and we should never let any opportunity pass us by. When we're at home, we should get in the habit of setting aside all distractions.....television, cell phones and social media and teach our children about the wonderful and awesome deeds of God.
If we're driving with our children, walking in the park or engaging in any activity, we should use them as teachable moments to tell about the love, goodness, mercy and compassion of God. We need to forego insignificant and meaningless activities and invest our time in teaching our children to love and honour God. There are so many outside influences competing for their attention and if we don't make it a priority to fill their minds with how wonderful it is to know and love God, then someone else with undesirable traits will grab hold of them. Above all, we are to be living examples to our children, to let them see God being at the centre of our lives. This is the best legacy that we can leave to them.
Thank you Lord for my children and grandchildren. Let me never miss any opportunity to share Your marvellous works, power and love with them. I pray that my life will be an example, that they will see you living in me. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
