Bible Verse for October 21st.

For we are God's masterpiece. He created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago,

When we realize that we are God's masterpiece, created in His image and put here on earth to serve and worship Him, we never have to question our self worth. We will understand that we are unique, great and possess the potential to be all that God wants us to be and there is nothing that anyone can say or do to change that. Oftentimes, people may try to discredit us by simply being mean, spewing hateful and unwarranted comments with no thought to the hurt it inflicts on us. This is often a result of their own insecurities, personal struggles or in many cases, sheer jealousy.

We belong to God and we are loved and valued by Him. There is nothing that anyone can say or do that can change that. We have to be confident and secure in who we are.....children of the most High God. We cannot control what people will say, but we can control our response. Negative and disparaging remarks from those close to us will hurt, but we must forgive, respond with love and compassion and move on. We cannot give power to words that belittle us, but we can give our bruised and hurt feelings to God who loves and cares for us. We matter to Him and we are valued and treasured.

Thank you Lord that I am your masterpiece, created in your own image. Today, I feel hurt and bewildered and I don't understand the harsh and unkind words that were said to me, but I choose to forgive and to let go of the hurt. Help me to love those who have caused me pain. I love you Jesus. Amen!
