Bible Verse for October 13th.

And you should imitate me, just as I imitate Christ.

1 Corinthians 11:1

In this verse Paul urged the people of Corinth to imitate him just as he was imitating Christ. Paul suffered hardships and endured many trials but he boldly shared the gospel while encouraging and caring for people. We can learn from the life of Paul and other great men of the Bible, but our perfect example is Jesus. Our desire should be to imitate Him and let our lives be a true reflection of Almighty God.

Our Heavenly Father is loving, caring, compassionate and kind. He is always attentive to our cries and is a true friend to those who are lonely and hurting. He is always available and we can call on him at any time knowing that He will hear and answer. Jesus is our ultimate example and every hour of every day, we should strive to be more like Him. To be like Jesus means that we focus exclusively on Him and let our thoughts, words and actions be guided by Him. We must search ourselves and if we fall short in any area, rededicate ourselves and purpose to live like Jesus. As children of God, our lives must be exemplary and the only way that can happen is by imitating Him.

Thank you Lord that You are my Father. My desire is to be like you, to love, care, encourage, help, give and lift up just as You do. I want to live an exemplary life, one that will please and bring honour and glory to you. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
