Bible Verse for June 6th.

My grief is beyond healing; my heart is broken.

Jeremiah 8:18

At some point in our lives, many of us may have felt overwhelmed and crushed with grief and sorrow. Life seems unbearable and we feel like we're drowning and there's no way out. Our souls are in anguish and our lives seem to be spinning out of control. People are all different and there are many who cannot comprehend the depth of such pain, but it's real and many are living this way, in a state of dejection and utter despair because their hearts are broken and the grief is beyond healing.

Many things account for this kind of grief and brokenness. It could be brought about by betrayal, terminal illness, rejection, death of a loved one or wayward children. Whatever the cause, it just seems to be too much to cope with and ultimately this grief takes control of our lives. Our health and relationships begin to suffer and we sink deeper and deeper in despair and despondency. God cares and empathizes with our pain. We must relinquish control, surrender it all to Him and allow Him to be our comforter. We will be whole again and joy and peace will come to us. What an assurance to know that there's comfort, hope, healing and restoration in God.

Thank you Lord for Your comfort. Lord, at times, this grief is too much to bear, but I relinquish it all to you, recognizing that I don't have to let it consume me. I receive Your healing. Help me to reach out to others who are in unbearable pain. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
