Blessed are those who fear to do wrong, but the stubborn are headed for serious trouble.

We serve a loving and caring God who wants only the best for us and longs to see us fulfill our God given destiny. To help us realize this, His Word clearly outlines how we should live. If we love Him, then we will certainly want to obey Him and this means we will have a fear of sin and wrongdoing. Parents and teachers alike have rules and guidelines that they expect children to follow and breaking them can sometimes have serious consequences. In the same way, as believers, we are to adhere to the good and righteous behaviour that's given to us in the Word of God.

Sadly enough, many are stubborn and defiant and casually break God's laws, totally disregarding the trouble that awaits them. As children of God, we must get back to righteous living and obedience. We cannot afford to keep on doing wrong. We need to get right with God and develop a fear of wrongdoing and the consequences that go along with it and be obedient to Him in every area of our lives. This fear will keep us on the narrow path that leads to everlasting life with God and off the wide path that leads only to destruction.

Thank you Lord for Your Word that serves as my guide for living a righteous and holy life. Help me to never be stubborn and disregard Your laws. Lord, may my desire always be to obey and serve you. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
